Dr. Kriti Tiwari
Obstetrician, gynaecologist and fellowship-trained reproductive medicine specialist, practising in South Delhi for over a decade.
A specialist, not a generalist who also does IVF
Dr. Kriti Tiwari completed her MBBS and then her MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, before undertaking a Fellowship of the National Board of Examinations in Reproductive Medicine at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. That fellowship is the distinction that matters: it is a formal, examined subspecialty qualification in assisted reproduction, and comparatively few practising IVF doctors in India hold it.
She has spent over ten years in obstetrics and gynaecology, with more than seven of those working specifically in fertility. She is attached to Seeds of Innocence, Malviya Nagar as an infertility specialist, and runs Mother's Hope IVF & Maternity Clinic in Katwaria Sarai.
Most couples who walk in here have been somewhere else first. The most useful thing I can do in that first hour is read what has already been done, and explain it.
Clinical interests
Her practice covers the full range of assisted reproduction — IVF, ICSI, IMSI, surgical sperm retrieval, donor programmes and preimplantation genetic testing — alongside advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery and the management of high-risk pregnancy.
Within that, three areas draw the most referrals. The first is recurrent IVF failure, where couples arrive after two or three cycles with no explanation offered. The second is severe endometriosis and poor ovarian responders, where surgical judgement about what not to remove is as important as technique. The third is genital tuberculosis as a cause of infertility — an under-diagnosed problem in India and the subject of her award-winning research.
Research and recognition
Her work on using Gene Xpert to diagnose genital tuberculosis in infertility patients was awarded the S.N. Bhattacharya Silver Medal at the AOGD Conference. She has contributed to medical publications including a chapter on the conservative management of ectopic pregnancy in the Manual of ART and Laboratory Sciences.
How consultations work
A first consultation is booked for an hour. You are asked to bring everything — previous scans, hormone reports, semen analyses, cycle sheets, discharge summaries. These are read before anything new is ordered, which routinely saves patients the cost of repeating tests that are still valid.
You leave with the diagnosis written down in plain language, the options that genuinely apply to your situation, a realistic success rate for your age and reports, and an itemised cost estimate.

How this practice differs
Your reports get read before anything is sold to you
Most couples arrive with a folder of tests from elsewhere. We go through it first. In a surprising number of cases the next step is cheaper and simpler than what was recommended before.
One doctor, start to finish
Dr. Tiwari performs your scans, your retrieval and your transfer, and looks after the pregnancy afterwards. You are not handed between juniors at each visit.
Costs in writing, before you commit
An itemised estimate covering drugs, lab charges, anaesthesia and freezing. If a cycle needs to be abandoned mid-way, you are told what that changes financially on the same day.
