Infertility treatment in Ber Sarai, New Delhi
Dr. Kriti Tiwari — MBBS, MS, FNB Reproductive Medicine — treats patients from Ber Sarai at Mother's Hope IVF Clinic, Katwaria Sarai and SHE Delhi Hospital, Greater Kailash II.
Infertility treatment for patients from Ber Sarai
Ber Sarai adjoins Katwaria Sarai, close enough that most residents walk to the clinic for monitoring scans.
Infertility is defined as a year of unprotected intercourse without conception, or six months if the woman is over 35. The investigation is not complicated, but it must be complete: ovulation, tubal patency, uterine cavity, ovarian reserve and the male partner.
Skipping straight to IVF without that workup is common and expensive. Dr. Tiwari works through the sequence first, because a blocked tube, a uterine septum, untreated thyroid disease or an ovulation problem each have a much simpler answer.

Case study: A complete workup, and a simple answer
28, Chittaranjan Park · 18 months trying · irregular cycles
What she came in with
Eighteen months of trying with cycles varying between 35 and 60 days. She had been offered IVF at a consultation elsewhere without any investigation at all.
What the workup showed
TSH was 8.2 mIU/L with positive anti-TPO antibodies — subclinical hypothyroidism, untreated. Prolactin was mildly raised. AMH, tubes, uterus and her husband's semen analysis were all normal.
What we did
Levothyroxine, with TSH brought to below 2.5 mIU/L and rechecked at six weeks. Prolactin normalised once the thyroid was corrected. No fertility treatment was started in the first three months.
Outcome
Cycles regularised within two months and she conceived naturally in the fourth month, on thyroxine alone.
The point of this case
She was one blood test away from a diagnosis and had been offered a two-lakh treatment instead. The basic workup exists precisely to find this kind of thing.
Illustrative case. This is a composite of presentations commonly seen in this practice, written for explanation — it is not the record of an identifiable patient, and no individual's details are used. Outcomes vary, and nothing here is a prediction of what will happen in your case.
Why Ber Sarai patients come here
Your reports get read before anything is sold to you
Most couples arrive with a folder of tests from elsewhere. We go through it first. In a surprising number of cases the next step is cheaper and simpler than what was recommended before.
One doctor, start to finish
Dr. Tiwari performs your scans, your retrieval and your transfer, and looks after the pregnancy afterwards. You are not handed between juniors at each visit.
Costs in writing, before you commit
An itemised estimate covering drugs, lab charges, anaesthesia and freezing. If a cycle needs to be abandoned mid-way, you are told what that changes financially on the same day.
