Donor egg IVF in Mayur Vihar, New Delhi

Dr. Kriti Tiwari — MBBS, MS, FNB Reproductive Medicine — treats patients from Mayur Vihar at Mother's Hope IVF Clinic, Katwaria Sarai and SHE Delhi Hospital, Greater Kailash II.

Donor egg IVF for patients from Mayur Vihar

Mayur Vihar and Patparganj patients reach the Greater Kailash OPD via the Ashram and Nizamuddin route.

Donor egg treatment is recommended when ovarian reserve is exhausted, after premature ovarian insufficiency, after repeated cycles producing no viable embryos, or where there is a genetic condition that would be passed on. Pregnancy rates depend on the donor's age, which is why they are considerably higher than own-egg cycles at the same maternal age.

This is an emotionally difficult recommendation to receive, and we never make it casually. It comes only after the evidence is clear, and always with time and counselling before any decision.

  • Premature ovarian insufficiency or early menopause
  • Very low ovarian reserve with repeated cycle cancellation

  • Known heritable genetic disease in the female partner

How treatment runs

  1. Counselling

A dedicated session on the medical, emotional and legal aspects before you decide.

  2. Donor matching

Donors are screened as required by the ART Act — age, infectious disease, genetic carrier status and psychological assessment.

  3. Recipient preparation

Your endometrium is prepared with oestrogen and progesterone while the donor is stimulated.

  4. Fertilisation and transfer

Donor eggs are fertilised with your partner's sperm and a single blastocyst is transferred.

Case study: The conversation nobody wants, arrived at honestly

43, Defence Colony · four own-egg IVF cycles · no viable embryos

What she came in with

Four stimulated cycles over two years at two different centres. Eggs were collected each time — between two and five — but no cycle had ever produced a blastocyst worth transferring. Each centre had suggested trying again.

What the workup showed

AMH 0.3 ng/ml, antral follicle count four. Reviewing all four cycle records showed a consistent pattern: eggs collected, fertilisation achieved, and arrest by day three every single time. At 43, aneuploidy rates in her own eggs would be above 80%.

What we did

We did not recommend a fifth cycle. Instead, a full counselling session on donor eggs, with time to go away and think, and an honest statement of the numbers on both paths.

Outcome

After two months they proceeded with a donor egg cycle through a registered ART bank. A single blastocyst transfer produced an ongoing pregnancy.

The point of this case

A fifth own-egg cycle would have been easy to sell and very unlikely to work. Saying so cost us a cycle's revenue and saved them a year.

Illustrative case. This is a composite of presentations commonly seen in this practice, written for explanation — it is not the record of an identifiable patient, and no individual's details are used. Outcomes vary, and nothing here is a prediction of what will happen in your case.

Why Mayur Vihar patients come here

Your reports get read before anything is sold to you

Most couples arrive with a folder of tests from elsewhere. We go through it first. In a surprising number of cases the next step is cheaper and simpler than what was recommended before.

One doctor, start to finish

Dr. Tiwari performs your scans, your retrieval and your transfer, and looks after the pregnancy afterwards. You are not handed between juniors at each visit.

Costs in writing, before you commit

An itemised estimate covering drugs, lab charges, anaesthesia and freezing. If a cycle needs to be abandoned mid-way, you are told what that changes financially on the same day.
