Pregnancy Care After IVF in Delhi
Dedicated monitoring for pregnancies conceived through fertility treatment.
What pregnancy care after IVF involves
An IVF pregnancy is precious in a way that changes how it should be looked after. Hormonal support continues into the first trimester, early scans are more frequent, and there is a modestly increased rate of certain complications that warrants closer watching.
Dr. Tiwari looks after her own IVF patients through the pregnancy, which means the person monitoring you already knows the full history of how the pregnancy was achieved.
Who this is for
- Any pregnancy conceived by IVF, ICSI or IUI
- Pregnancy after recurrent miscarriage or repeated implantation failure
- Twin pregnancy following fertility treatment
- Pregnancy in a woman over 38 after treatment
Not everything on this list means you need this treatment. The workup comes first, and the recommendation follows from what it shows — not from what was booked before you arrived.
Step by step
Luteal support
Progesterone and other support continued and tapered appropriately through the first trimester.
Early scans
Viability at 6–7 weeks, then fortnightly through the first trimester for reassurance and safety.
Standard screening
NT scan, dual marker or NIPT, and the anomaly scan on the usual schedule.
Third trimester
Growth and placental function monitoring, with a delivery plan agreed in advance.
Your results, in writing
Whatever the outcome of pregnancy care after IVF, you leave each stage with the findings written down — what was done, what was found, what it means, and what the options are from here. Reports are issued the same day wherever the laboratory allows it.
What is different about having this done here
Continuity — the doctor who treated you looks after the pregnancy
More frequent early scans, because reassurance is part of the care
Progesterone support managed properly rather than continued indefinitely
Direct contact route for anxieties between visits
Treated by the consultant, not by a rotating team
Dr. Tiwari performs the scans, the procedure and the follow-up herself, and looks after any pregnancy that results. Over a long treatment course that continuity is the difference between being known and being processed.
- MBBS, MS (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), FNB (Reproductive Medicine)

Both clinics are in South Delhi. Patients travelling from further out have appointments grouped to cut down the number of trips.
Questions about pregnancy care after IVF
Is the miscarriage risk higher after IVF?
Slightly, mostly reflecting the age and underlying conditions of women who need IVF rather than the treatment itself.
How long do I continue progesterone?
Usually to around 10–12 weeks, when the placenta takes over. There is no benefit in continuing beyond that and we stop it.
Talk it through before you commit
Consultations run for a full hour. Bring any previous reports — they are reviewed properly, not repeated.
